It's Up to You by Unknown Author

One song can spark a moment

One flower can wake the dream.

One tree can start a forest,

One bird can herald spring.

One smile can bring a friendship,

One handclasp can lift a soul,

One star can guide a ship at sea,

One word can frame the goal.

One vote can change a nation,

One sunbeam can light a room,

One candle can wipe out darkness,

One laugh can conquer gloom.

One step must start each journey,

One word must start each prayer,

One hope can raise our spirits,

One touch can show you care.

One voice can speak with wisdom,

One heart can know what's true,

One life can make the difference,

You see. it's up to you.

The Whirling Soccer Ball by Unknown Author

I am the whirling soccer ball and very much omnipotent

I wonder my path, my final destination

I hear the song of the cool,

brisk air hovering over my patched material

I see the barbarians on a war front of a field,

battling over my possession

I want to soar effortlessly into the white netting

I am the whirling soccer ball

and very much omnipotent

I pretend that I am not afraid

I feel the telepathic vibrations gliding me along

I touch the hard, rocky field

I worry sometimes that I may disintegrate on the cruel vast field,

amidst the turmoil

I cry for the others who are not brave enough to enter the game

I am the whirling soccer ball and very much omnipotent

I understand that I am going to get kicked around

I say it only makes me stronger

I dream of a soccer game where overtime lasts an eternity

I try to be kind and decent along the way

With only seconds left in the final game,

I hope that I have left an imprint in the net

I am the whirling soccer ball and very much omnipotent

50 Yard Dash by Unknown Author

As I look out to see
A deep blue twilight of the sea
The cool soothing texture of the water
Preparing for the evening slaughter

Upon the top, I perish to the deep
Ripe red spots, like apples in a sleep
A cherished birch on a lake front shore
To grasp the breath of man, than more
Mind over matter is what they say,
Neptune's dolphins rescue the drowning today.

Welcome to the deep, the dark linking chain
Dragging along the bottom, like a murdered lion's mane
There no sound resonates, approaches Zen
Too deep for the ordinary thoughts of men
Grotesque beasts feast on what the eye can't see
Drinking the wine from your chalice to collect their fee

Spirit torn, I lay and wait heartbroken
Waiting for Ares to offer me a hand or token
The time is now forever I lay awake
To break the record and collect the take

Champion by Unknown Author

Football is a champion's sport,

The smell of fall is in the air,

You walk onto the field and see them looking

down at you,

The feeling is indescribable,

The smallest player on the field,

Yet, you may have the biggest heart,

You pour out your strength and determination,

Trying to put points on the board,

Then you switch to defense,

And you become fearless,

One of the hardest hitters,

Never one of the quitters,

Giving it all for your team,

Hate losing and giving up yards,

Then you shout a few words of encouragement,

And you help put your team back on top,

Win or lose, you walk off the field with your head held high,

Because you will always be a champion, if you play like one.

Untitled by Unknown Author

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don't!
If you like to win, but think you can't,
It's almost a cinch you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost;
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the man who THINKS HE CAN.
