Positive Attitude TipsEstablishing and maintaining a positive attitude can be tough. These tips will help you in your journey to live a more positive existence. Tip #1
Tip #8 Beware of television, radio, and newspapers: what kind of messages are they bombarding you with daily? Try to keep your exposure to negativity at a minimum. Tip #9 Adjust your posture: sit up straight, smile, walk proudly, and breathe deeply. Do this for 60 seconds and you'll start to feel the difference (Honestly! Give it a try right now!) Tip #10 Release negative thoughts with techniques like The Sedona Method. Tip #11 Try hypnosis. There may be a therapist in your area, or you can try audio self-hypnosis. Tip #12 Monitor your emotions: negative emotions indicate that your thoughts are negative. You'll know it's time to shift mental gears. Tip #13 Hang around positive people: they will rub off on you. Maybe even consider starting an informal optimist club where a group agrees to support each other in the effort of thinking positive. Tip #14 Don't react, take action. You control how you think, how you feel. If something is bothering you take action, do not react, but act. Tip #15 Don't be afraid to take risks. As the saying goes, "If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got." Tip #16 Stop and smell the roses. Take time to look around and take in the beauty of nature. Be grateful you can do this. Tip #17 The eyes of a child - look at things as if you were a child. Something new to explore and captivate your imagination. Tip #18 Pump up the volume - Find those songs that get your adrenalin pumping. Song that bring back fond memories. Songs that remind you of good times you've had. Tip #19 Change the channel - Watch a movie that brings you inspiration. Tip #20 Be nice to people - it's a known phenomenon that when you smile at someone with genuinity, that it becomes infectious. In return, you'll get smiles and kind gestures back. Tell someone you appreciate them. Tip #21 Write down your current problem (if you have one) put it in an envelope and open it up later. This will free up your mind and help you think more logically when it's time to open it. Tip #22 Write down some of your greatest accomplishments. Write down some of your greatest positive moments and how they made you feel. Tip #23 Call an old friend or relative you haven't talked to in a while, just to say hi.
